Wow, this is quite an extreme reaction... didn't the new doctrine get a lot of stuff right? For example, surrogacy?
I get that you have strong feelings about the issue of same-sex relations, but isn't the Church supposed to be concerned with the ultimate destiny of people's souls? The Church does have to adapt itself to its members, doesn't it?
If the Church “adapts” to its “members” by endorsing anti-Biblical teachings they are not ministering to anybodys soul.
Biblically (Im evangelical but I think Catholics would largely agree). The Church is the body of Christ, and members of that body are those who are truly in Christ. I of course am a sinner, and I pray my repentance deepens and and my true loathing of the sin in me deepens. However, to bless an unrepentant sinful lifestyle and openly rebellious choices is to lie. These people are not “members of the body of Christ” if they do not put their faith in Jesus and His Word.
So no, you do not adapt any doctrines to the “members” of your church. You cannot compromise on the Gospel and Scriptures. You are then just the blind leading the blind, all will fall in the Pit
