Hearing the line "one of the wettest we’ve ever seen, from the standpoint of water" and not finding it hilarious is a big reason this phony lost

I applaud your efforts to labour through what would be such rage inducing read.

Kamala is the epitome of the politician constructed by the neoliberal elite. A puppet, fully controlled by the interests that have propped her up. A hollow person.

If she had taken accountability and just wrote it as it happened, searched deep inside of herself for that soul, that light that has been suppressed and diminished by decades of parasitic behavior this book could have been something insightful. If she had found the inspiration to truly speak from her heart rather than running everything through the filter of the twisted focus group Karen mentality of democrat politicians, it might have been a revelatory read.

People may not have agreed with her, but at least we might have come to a greater understanding. Instead, another worthless waste of paper designed to appeal only to the liberal 40 something wine mom. Just like the Democrat party.

There's a great story to be told, but not by a woman who still has political aspirations.

Tantalus of Rivia's avatar

Political aspirations? Boy is she deluded! Does anyone, anyone at all, who is not named Kamala Harris think she has a meaningful political future?

Diamond Boy's avatar

Author, bravo, that was worthy of Dan Aykroyd’s screed.

What she really a call girl? Also is she really a drunk?

I didn’t think you could get scummier than Hillary Clinton, but Kamala managed to do it.

Alan Schmidt's avatar

My understanding us they were "dating" when he was 30 years her senior.

Scott's avatar

She’s not a whore, she just slept her way to the middle. I’m not sure there is a difference, however, other than the manner in which she was paid for her efforts.

Dan Hochberg's avatar

Agreed. Trading sex and companionship to one man in return for access to a desired position isn't the same as being a "whore', and it's misleading to call her one. Not a fan of Harris but I do believe in truth.

Nobody actually buys these political autobiographies written by LLM’s and ghost writers. They are money laundering schemes. Like how is hrc (insert any politician name here) so rich? Standard answer: she’s a ny times best selling author!

Xcalibur's avatar

Well of course Kamala is a mediocrity, a middle-manager, a Karen, and a diversity hire. She existed to be the figurehead of the managerial regime, complete with an ideologically-approved identity. She actually did a fine job in that role, truly personifying the decadent bureaucracy of GAE.

And of course her book is the most tepid bilge imaginable; the excepts did not disappoint.

Elizabeth Hamilton's avatar

What you say there is a whole lot stronger and truer than the insults with which the OP signs his piece. He could take a lesson from you.

Xcalibur's avatar

Appreciated, ma'am. I find that in general, a sense of restraint can make things more effective, eg the Roman concept of gravitas.

Gudge's avatar

Two points:

1) Kamala showing her vagina, a disturbing image to contemplate, would probably have helped her campaign.

2) “It begins with an m and ends with ah.” Was she going to call Vance ‘massah’?

Fra Raymond's avatar

That last paragraph was brutal. Thank you for putting into words what a lot of us think.

Elizabeth Hamilton's avatar

I think it diminished the value of his piece.

DAVID HANLON's avatar

So Harris admitted that being a woman means having a virgina?

Kip 🇺🇸🇮🇱🟦's avatar

At least she’s finally admitting she supports Hamas and Jew-killing (her endorsement of Mamdani and agreeing with pro-“Palestine” thugs who showed up to her book promoting event to heckle).

Fuck. Her.

Alan Schmidt's avatar

One part I failed to mention is the insane amount of words used to try to thread the needle between pleasing her Jewish donors and not enraging her base.

Anthony Bevilacqua's avatar

“Had I known he was pulling that juvenile stunt, I would’ve been inclined to step from my car and use a word I believe best pronounced correctly. It begins with an m and ends with ah.”

“You, you, MENORAH!”

outlet's avatar

What was she going for here?

Alan Schmidt's avatar

Mutha fuchah. Apparently in addition to brat, she is gangster.

Scott's avatar

Gangsta, you mean?

outlet's avatar

Ok, that's what I thought, but it seemed too ridiculous.

Caek Islove's avatar

Harsh, but fair.

The Audible version is responsible for at least 12 suicides.

The best part of this was Newsomes response “hiking, will call back”. lol I’m literally just walking so I’m far too busy to call you back but I can fire off a quick text lol. Trump and Vance need to meme the hell out of this. “Hiking, will call back” should be the response to why all the numerous failures occurred on his watch in California.

Calling Harris an ignorant slut makes you an ignorant asshole.

Her sex life has been quite sedate compared to the average American woman who marries late in life. She dated Willie Brown for a little over a year. Brown is quite the American character: charming, flamboyant, a snappy dresser. He's never had any problem dating attractive young women, and it's not hard to figure out why. When Francis Ford Coppola was filming Part III of the Godfather, he kept telling a minor actor to imitate Willie Brown. When the actor failed to satisfy Coppola, he fired the actor and asked Willie Brown to replace him, which he did. The guy has panache!

Brown, like many powerful California politicians on both sides of the aisle, was in the habit of handing out short-term part-time patronage jobs to his friends and supporters. He gave two such jobs to Harris. As far as I can tell, he never gave such jobs to ant of his other girlfriends, but then Harris was only woman he ever dated with the qualifications for political offices (Brown's taste in women ran mostly to models, actresses, and interior decorators). Was it wise of Harris to have taken those jobs? Probably not. But it's a tempest in a very tiny teapot compared to vast mountain of corruption and sexual immorality that has shaped Trump's entire life.

It's silly to think that Brown had much to do with Harris becoming a supervising district attorney in two different offices in SF, one devoted to prosecuting the worst career criminals and the other to child abuse and neglect cases. Nobody, except Trump apparently (Alina Habba, Lindsey Halligan), hires unqualified attorneys to supervise and prosecute high stakes complex cases. And Willie Brown had no power to get her elected five times to California offices.

And whatever you think of Harris's intelligence, it's obvious that she's a towering intellect compared to her opponent, who is profoundly stupid and ignorant and has been showing clear signs of cognitive decline for over a decade. Just watch his 1987 interview with Oprah and compare it to may of his recent speeches. The contrast is shocking and alarming.

Harrs made a fool of Trump in the debate, not only proving how stupid is he, but how easy it is to manipulate him into making deranged statements. If a fellow American can so easily manipulate him, what hope is there that Trump can avoid being manipulated by Putin?

You make a big deal out of Harris picking Tim Walz as her running mate. Almost all Presidential candidates make a point of picking running mates who will not outshine them. JD Vance, Mike Pence, Tim Kane, Joe Biden , and Sarah Palin are all good examples of this trend. Nothing to see here.

If Harris ran a truly horrible campaign, why was Trump's victory so narrow (the 17th weakest out of the past 25). More people voted against Trump than voted for him, and more eligible voters stayed home than voted for any individual candidate.

I don't think it's too hard to explain Harris why lost.

First, She was forced to run the shortest Presidential campaign in our history after nearly four years in a job that largely keeps you out of the public eye.

John Adams described the Vice-Presidency as "the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived, or his imagination conceived."

John Gardner Nance, FDR's first VP, said being VP as "not worth as bucket of warm piss."

Selina Meyer (In the show VEEP), said "Being Vice President is like being declawed, defanged, neutered, ball-gagged, and sealed in an abandoned coal mine under two miles of human shit! It is a fate worse than death! "

However, largely unnoticed by the public, being VP does give you a ringside seat to the Presidency. A perceptive VP can learn a lot about being the Prez. Fifteen of our Presidents began as VPs, including some of our very best: Teddy R, Truman, and LBJ.

Second, BIden inherited post-pandemic inflation, largely caused by global supply shocks.

The average voter is not very bright:

"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that." George Carlin.

Among people who are not ideologically committed to one party only, the most common voting strategy is this: "If I'm doing well, I will vote for the incumbent. IF I'm doing poorly, I will vote fir the opposition." 40-60% of adults fail to be fully rooted in stage 4 in Piaget's scale of cognition. That's the stage required for counterfactual reasoning, the stage required to have thoughts ike this:

"I'm doing well (badly) now, but if the other side had been/gets to be in charge I would have done/will be doing even better (even worse)."

In 2024, incumbent parties were globally punished for inflation, often by large margins. We handled inflation far better than most countries , so the margin of victory for the opposition was very small. Another factor: I believe some people wanted to punish BIden for inflation, but couldn't bring themselves to vote for someone as odious as Trump. So they just stayed home.

Alan Schmidt's avatar

I'm not reading all that. Congratulations or I'm sorry this is happening to you.

Adam Reith's avatar

What a surprise! A close-minded asshole refuses to spend a few minutes reading a challenge to his position while deciding it was still worthwhile to tell me what he wasn’t going to do.

Elizabeth Hamilton's avatar

I found this interesting and enlightening until the end when you launched into the vacuous and gratuitous insult of "ignorant slut."

Alan Schmidt's avatar

It's a reference to an old SNL skit.
