Europe Gets a Color Revolution
Note this article is not an advocacy piece, but a thought experiment that’s been bouncing in my head for months. I have no stance on this subject right now, neither supporting nor condemning it. - Alan
The year is 2032, and social media is awash with footage of plumes of smoke rising alongside Big Ben as London is mired in chaos. The British government declared a curfew on the entire nation earlier in the week and initiated yet another crackdown on political protests. Angry Brits stormed the streets daily as rubber bullets and tear gas streamed from the largely ethnic minority riot police. The murmurs of discontent from the early 2020’s feels like a picnic now as violence and unrest has brought everything to a standstill. MP’s refuse to leave their homes, forcing the government to convene remotely.
The political leadership stood flummoxed as the same tactics used to bring dissidents to heel was now being used against them. New, amorphous activist networks were proven impossible to cut down, and every time they thought a critical node was destroyed, three new ones took its place. Worse yet, the propaganda apparatus of the protestors was immediate and top notch. When riot police beat a forty-year-old mother in the riots last week, it hit everyone’s feed within 24 hours. Professionally made signs saying “Justice for Lottie” sprang up on everyone’s lawns by the time the week was over.
Following a radical free speech policy promulgated through the United States Congress in 2029, directed at social media companies, The Labour government banned all American media, replacing them with the “Inclusive Britain” app, pretty much a buggy carbon copy of the banned apps while adding a strong speech policing policy and a requirement for showing one’s identity. A flop in the beginning as everyone got around the ban through VPN, even though those too were illegal, it soon became a paradoxical beacon of resistance to the British people. Countless people showed their name and faces, posting death threats to politicians and police officers and daring them to come arrest them.
The government tried to make an example of a few, only to discover a vast network of top lawyers at their disposal. The judges seemed to turn on a dime, giving lenient rulings to the worst offenders. Reactionary judges had infiltrated the system and were flexing their will, while the progressive ones were cowed and intimidated into silence.
There was no political solution anymore, as the Homeland party was banned after their support climbed to twenty percent. The Tories supported the banning, thinking the wave of radicalization would cease once any democratic means of mainstreaming their views was off the table. The Tories promised “sensible reform” to immigration and were met with deaf ears. The people heard that song and dance for decades, and such talk only fueled their anger. As the foreign-born percentage of the nation went to 30%, the rhetoric turned from inflamed to genocidal. They were all leaving, one way or the other.
The migrants in rural areas already fled to their home countries as money dried up and were met with a hostile and coordinated resistance, and those in the cities hunkered down, going as far as fortifying their conclaves. For many, the uncertainty was too much, as it was estimated that 20% of first-generation migrants had already left the country.
In Germany, things were following a similar, but even more violent trajectory. Young reactionaries were burning down the residences of anyone who housed migrants, a well-trained paramilitary outfit having de-facto control of much of the country. U.N. peacekeepers came in to fight “the dark spectre of fascism”, only to be hit with drones as their locations were leaked by an insider. The peacekeepers, seeing no point in risking their lives to maintain an order they had no connection to, put on civilian clothes and deserted en masse.
President Vance, instead of calling for peaceful negotiations, stoked the flames. He went as far as to call the current leadership “illegitimate” and “undemocratic”, making a veiled threat to import peacekeepers of his own to protect the right to protest. The U.S.S. Trump, the newest carrier laden with the latest in drone technology, sailed the North Sea in a flagrant display of force.
The European Union collapsed for all intents and purposes, as their edicts were either entirely ignored by member nations or found themselves without the political will to put them into fruition. Many members were now hunkered down in Brussels, fearing for their lives if they left their still relatively safe surroundings, wondering how long it would last. One commentator opined, lamenting the widespread chaos that, “It was like Maidan over the entirety of Europe.” Little did he realize how accurate he was.
European Intelligence agencies knew these dissident elements were being funded by an external, shadowy, well-funded source, but had no idea from where. Most assumed Russian interference, an act of revenge for Starmer putting troops on the ground in the doomed attempt to foil Russia in Ukraine. It failed, and British troops retreated after losing 10,000 troops in two months and Russia took the entire country as its spoils. Still, billions were flowed in from Western Europe trying to elevate rebellious elements in the conquered nation in an attempt to bleed Russia dry of resources and political will.
None dared to accuse the real perpetrator, a nation with many color revolutions under its belt. A master of using dark money for international geopolitical purposes. When USAID was shut down, the State Department overhauled, and the CIA gutted, many assumed the age of American subversion was over. For the first two years of President Trump ascendancy, progressives were terrified as they wondered if their sinecures would be over too. Many left the NGO complex altogether, but some knew nothing else, their fancy degrees meaning nothing in the private sector. After a good number left for menial jobs, the ones left decided that it was time for a deal with Orange Hitler.
Originally Trump showed strong ambivalence to their proposal. Even to his mercenary mind, the idea to employ the same subversive tactics used against him to create more amenable nations struck him as a line he didn’t want to cross. His entre mandate stemmed from deportations and shrinking the government, and retooling the NGO complex struck him as a dangerous and expensive game. Some of his inner circle had sympathies to the cause, reframing the initiative in a more palatable way.
“Mr. President, what you see in Europe isn’t organic, nor is it the will of the people. Since World War II we have had our boots on these people’s necks. We allied with the Soviets to wipe out their colonial strongholds. We placated them with countless military bases, making them dependent on us for defense. We’ve destroyed any attempt to create normal relations with Russia, even long after the cold war ended. Hell, we’re even responsible for the mess that is the European Union.
Worst of all, we’ve flooded these countries with money and propaganda, funding the worst of the worst subversives in these nations to make them satellite provinces. Have you listened to these people? They don’t have a single thought stemming from their culture, their people. It’s all platitudes about Democracy, The Rule of Law, and whatever other nonsense we filled their heads with. They are mannequins, empty vessels we filled with a dead ideology. That’s over now, and there’s a new order. What we’re doing is undoing our own wrongs, Mr. Trump. We can’t just walk away from our failings and wash our hands of it. This is our chance to make Europe for Europeans again. And we get something out of the deal too, a continent we can do business with again.”
The President agreed, sort of. He looked the other way as a slush fund was formed from government money and the generous donations of aligned billionaires. They populated the agency with right-wing reactionaries who allied with turncoat former progressives to form the backbone of the new operation. While there was plenty of chaff, many in the previous progressive network were masters of infiltration, seeding money, giving subversive contracts to foreign nationals, and being a dangerous nuisance to their enemies. As the paychecks dried up, they found their morality to be far more malleable than they thought, and suddenly they had nothing but sympathy for the plight of native Europeans as their homelands were destroyed by foreigners and their people’s history wiped away make a more malleable people. The same person who wished Thomas Crooks didn’t miss now bent the knee to allow his skills to be wielded for another purpose.
Wargames were played for months, with the explicit goal to bring power back to heritage Europeans and to end their disastrous cultural degradation, fertility collapse, and population replacement. They gamed every “soft” measure possible, gaming out how to restructure the current governments for more stability. Every time it met with failure. The only play that worked was a swift and ruthless regime change within the next ten years.
All over Europe radical rabble-rousers linked to the old network of NGO’s found themselves without a steady income. Worse yet, their status disintegrated as their pet causes no longer had the cultural affluence it used to. They were nobodies now, and poor, a horrifyingly demoralizing mix that made them desperate for an outlet. Like a miracle though, foreign contacts in the old NGO network learned that the spigot was opening back up, with billions upon billions of dollars again at their disposal. When the grants started pouring in though, they scratched their heads in confusion.
“Art show showcasing the glorious history of ancient Germanic tribes” - 2 million Euros
“Drug rehabilitation support for native rural British” - 20 million Euros
“Activism and outreach for under-privileged Germans” - 10 million Euros
“Maintenance and restoration of Irish Religious Shrines” - 20 million Euros
“Genealogy support for native populations” - 500,000 Euros.
“Media tools for heritage activism” - 1 billion Euros.
“Remigration Infrastructure.” - A whopping 5 billion Euros
They saw this song and dance before, though never in this form. Underneath the altruistic veneer there was an implicit goal, a patronage network for political action. Now, instead of the many flowing to transexuals, migrants, and prostitutes, it was flowing to the native population. While many had misgivings, much of the activist class shrugged, figuring shifting their moral principles was worth putting food on the table and regaining their lost status.
While a few tried applying for the grants aimed to take the money and use it for the same progressive purpose as before, this was already wargamed out in D.C., and they quickly ascertained the bad actors and those who would play ball. The NGO’s found the best way to secure funding was to onboard native outsiders and train them in activist tactics. While there was much antipathy in the beginning, with most assuming this was a trap, enough were willing to take the risk for both ideological and financial reasons. These orgs paid very well.
The shift was dramatic. Instead of the massive groundswell of funding necessary to promote culturally repugnant views, they could organize countless cultural events through the goodwill of the population. Soon, instead of Pride Parades, there were massive rallies for St. George’s Day. Instead of endless propaganda for Windrush, Mayday, the good one, not the commie one, was celebrated with enormous extravaganzas. The sheer mass of public enthusiasm for the well-funded and jubilant cultural network drowned out the artificial festivals of the ruling class.
Behind the scenes, new alliances were fostered. As Washington D.C. decided against trying to work with the current ruling class, the country was combed for allies to be installed once regime change concluded. They found right-wing celebrities and elevated them, millionaires to make deals with, diamonds-in-the-rough in living in deep rural areas to mentor, and even found sympathetic members of old royalty to ally with if King Charles caused trouble.
The boutique views of the cosmopolitans, popular just a couple years ago, now became the butt of jokes behind closed doors, even to those forced to publicly espouse them in their professional lives. They found themselves on the same side as spiteful, vinegar drinking scolds, screaming racism at the new emergence of popular ancient traditions. The true believers in old media and government still kept the platitudes and fanatical belief, doubling down as a cultural awakening seemed to come out of nowhere. Parliament reacted with more restrictive hate-speech laws, more inflamed rhetoric against extremism, and an even more unhinged migration policy.
The doubling down by political elites made the next stage easier, as soon the NGO networks shifted from harmless public displays to operating in gray areas of the law, funding reactionary elements with financial resources to attack the regime. Instead of drugged up Antifa mercenaries, they employed rougher members of the working class to flex their will.
When a migrant ran over twelve people in a terrorist rage, these men violently protested at a migrant facility, butting heads with police and forcing them to retreat. When the government attempted swift retribution, these men disappeared into the countryside. The NGO ensured that any family these men had would be taken care of with a monthly stipend. The number of resources necessary to prosecute them became overwhelming and dangerous. Even threats of harsh penalties for those who harbored these rabble-rousers had no effect. The government was losing its moral claims to power as skittish police changed their focus, deciding that the tides had turned and to focus their energy on migrant violence. Even the police found out how malleable morals became with seismic cultural shifts.
Things spiraled out of control quickly. How fast the dominoes fell, and the rapidity of how swiftly an organized dissident network formed, shocked even the most optimistic analyst. All of Europe was a dry brush pile only looking for a small flame to make it burn. Its swiftness made some wonder behind closed doors whether the new elite they were fostering were ready to take power.
This was neither here nor there now. President Vance listened to the intelligence briefings from his senior advisors, debating the proper course of action. In truth, he knew there was little he could do. The all-consuming fire was raging out of control, and there was no top-down control model to keep it in check. The chain of events caused by unaccountable NGO’s had, just like when in control of the left, created after-effects that took on a life of their own. The bargain with the devil Trump made years back had no off-ramp, and never had there been more uncertainty as to what things would look like in four years. Vance, in solemn resignation, knew he had no choice but to push on to the bitter end.

This is consistent with the discussion Louise Perry recently had with David Betz, who predicted civil war in Britain. My guess is the existing regime will use analysis from people like Betz, and scenario-speculation like this, to preemptively harass, silence, and arrest right wing and nativist people more aggressively, justifying the crackdown as preventing an incipient civil war. The old regime will not go away easily. A regime which will not only tolerate but facilitate industrial scale rape, torture and murder of young and adolescent women from its own legacy population is not likely to place any legal or moral limits on what it will do to survive.
Some of us must remain optimistic - nicely wargamed.
