Several of our movie theaters in Denver area show exclusively hindi movies now. The H1-B population is insanely out of control with all the technology here. My issue is all the well paid jobs they take from citizens in addition to the cultural issues you mentioned. Excellent article.
Reminxs me of a good friend who leads a "Scout" troop and the South Asian parents come to events essentially expecting to be served by the American volunteer parents. It's an invisible drain on volunteer manpower/morale
If it wasn't cutting one's nose to spite one's face, I'd almost wish we would get involved in a major war of some kind just to be rid of these fair weather newcomers. They're obviously not interested in America or becoming Americans, whatever the paperwork may say, but see the whole country instead the way some people view moving to a big city: "you go there to get your money, then get out as soon as you can."
What’s sad is the complete disregard by this so-called council for the native long term citizens and the apparent urgency they felt to terraform native recreational areas for the new population regardless of opposition. I’m not a baseball fan but it is the quintessential American sport that was played and developed by Americans across ethnic backgrounds and became a unifying focus of uniquely American culture amongst ethnic subcultures. I hate to be a smart ass though but we have generations of young children watching Bluey and learning about cricket maybe our kids take it up and crush the invaders at their own game lol.
I agree baseball is a great tradition but I don’t think cricket (or immigration in general) is the real threat. As long as native born Americans continue to have kids and pass on their traditions, baseball will be fine.
Honestly, I’m disheartened by the other comments. Let’s focus on making the best life for our families without begrudging others same right to pursue happiness.

Here in MN, if dems win again, there will be no limit of immigrants, all on the dole, to make a one party state, to keep the theft going on.

Cricket isn't Cricket for Americans. Of course, that offends people who still are angry their ancestors had to adapt to America.
